4:30PM - The American Speed Association® Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and grandstay.net “Joe Shear Classic 136” presented by ECHO Chain Saws racing has officially gotten under way. The late model last chance qualifier was first up on the schedule. Josh Vadnais took home the victory after starting in the front row alongside the #9 of Mark Kraus. At the drop of the green flag, Kraus, the #80 of Reffner, and #75 of Thiessen tangled on the front stretch. Thiessen hit the inside wall on the front stretch and was taken back to the pit area on the hook. Kraus and Reffner both went in the pits and returned in time for an official complete restart. The second attempt at the restart was successful. The top seven finishers in the qualifier earn a spot in the “Joe Shear Classic 136” presented by ECHO Chain Saws.

3:00PM - Sportsman Qualifying Results

Jay Kalbus set the fast time for the ASA Midwest Sportsman Tour. Kalbus set a fast time of 21.015 seconds (85.653 mph). Chris Marek was second with a time of 21.053 seconds (85.499 mph) with Bobby Wilberg in third with a time of 21.120 seconds (85.227 mph). Jason Thoma was fourth with a time of 21.216 seconds (85.227 mph) and Scott "Chico" Riedner rounded out the top-five with a time of 21.327 seconds (84.400 mph).

Racing will begin shortly at MIS.

2:00PM - SLM Qualifying Results

Chris Wimmer was the last car out and he set the fast time for today's Joe Shear Classic at Madison International Speedway. A total 40 cars qualified for today's event.

Wimmer set a fast time of 17.578 seconds (102.401 mph) with Jeff Storm in second with a time of 17.606 seconds (102.238 mph). Nick Panitzke had a great qualifying run with a third place time of 17.674 seconds (101.845 mph). Tim Schendel was fourth with a time of 17.705 seconds (101.666 mph) and defending Joe Shear Classic Champion Nate Haseleu rounded out the top-five with a time of 17.709 seconds (101.643 mph).

ASA Midwest Sportsman Tour qualifying is going on now. Racing begins at 3:00 p.m. at MIS.

SATURDAY 5:00PM - ASA Oregon Chain Midwest Truck Tour Qualifying Results

Tom McClintock set the fast time for Sunday's ASA Midwest Truck Tour's season opening event at Madison International Speedway. McClintock set a fast time of 18.806 seconds (95.714 mph) around Wisconsin's Fastest Half-Mile Oval. Jerry Wood was second with a time of 18.825 seconds (95.618 mph) with Bret Widdis in third with a time of 18.860 seconds (95.440 mph). John Wood was fourth with a time of 19.240 seconds (93.555 mph) and Gary McDonald rounded out the top-five with a time of 19.520 seconds (92.213 mph).

The ASA Midwest Truck Tour will run a 40-lap feature on Sunday in support of the ASA Midwest Tour Super Late Model Series Second Annual Joe Shear Classic 136-lap feature event. The ASA Midwest Sportsman Tour will also be competing a 30-lap feature event.

Gates open at noon with Super Late Model qualifying at 1:15 p.m. Sportsman qualifying will follow with an autograph session at 2:00 p.m. Racing will get underway at 3:00 p.m.
