OREGON® SIGNS ON AS 2010 ASA MIDWEST TRUCK TOUR TITLE SPONSOR

By: Kari Shear-Carlson
(Monday, April 26, 2010) The ASA Midwest Truck Tour along with The American Speed Association® Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and grandstay.net is proud to announce that OREGON® will be the Truck Tour series title sponsor for 2010.

OREGON® participated with the ASA Midwest Tour last year as an associate sponsor of the Fast Qualifier award and will continue to present the ASA Midwest Tour fast qualifier award the OREGON® file and bar kit in 2010. As a leading manufacturer of saw chain and other forestry and outdoor equipment parts worldwide, the opportunity to sponsor the ASA Midwest Truck Tour is a perfect fit, especially given the recent introduction of the OREGON® PowerSharp® precision saw chain-sharpening system. The speed and toughness of the truck series participants are a reflection of the ease of use, preciseness and sharpening speed that the OREGON PowerSharp® system offers.

PowerSharp® is an easy to use, precision sharpening system that gives chain saw users the power to sharpen their own chain in a matter of seconds with a simple attachment. In as little as 3 seconds, the chain saw chain goes from dull to sharp with the PowerSharp® attachment.

"PowerSharp® will make a landmark impact on the chain saw industry," said Jake VanderZanden , Senior Vice President of Business Development for Blount. "For at least 50 years our customers have been asking us for a fast and easy solution for dull saw chain. PowerSharp® is the result of intensive research and focused development."

We look forward to another great year for the ASA Midwest Tour and the new ASA Midwest Truck Tour presented by Oregon®.

"This is great news for the Truck Tour and our competitors. OREGON is a great fit for this division and the demographic is spot on. They have been slowly increasing their involvement in our series and to jump on board at this new level is tremendous for the future of the ASA Midwest Truck Tour, stated Tim Olson and Steve Einhaus. “There is no doubt; with their support we can take this division to new levels.”
